After a break from the industry that has lasted nearly 20 years, Juliet Korver returns to the world of art and music with a lamentation of hope for anyone who has suffered, survived, and strives to live. In her writing and vocal performance of The One Who Sees (Extended), she explores themes of love, protection, safety, spiritual recovery, and peace, resonating with the essence of A Scattering of Stars and the journey towards Avalon.
In her visual embodiment of the song and in other video recordings she created, including real-time capture of artist Niki Zarrabi at work, Juliet gives a raw visual expression of the theme of The One Who Sees, transparently embodying the feelings and tensions between pain and promise. The viewer is invited to enter into the experience as they are able, to hide less from their own hurt and vulnerability, and to perhaps find strength and healing in the idea and action of being seen and supported.
All of the proceeds from The One Who Sees (Extended) will go to NGOs working with children and displaced people in vulnerable situations around the world.
